I see the Liverpool schematic on this site has a "220u" bypass cap at the output tubes. Is that supposed to be "22u"?
Thanks

Re: Liverpool EL84 Bypass Cap
Nope. Those are 220uF caps. I bought Nichicons. Mouser # 647-TVX1V221MAD. There are probably lower ESR parts out there.
Re: Liverpool EL84 Bypass Cap
I know its rude of me to revive this, but I'm wondering about Voltage rating.
It seems most layouts say 100 Volts.
The Ceriatone seems to just have a single 63V Cap.
My problem is that I for some reason when I ordered parts, I ended up getting a couple 300Volt caps and a couple 50V caps (220uF).
I definitely don't have space for the 300V 220uFers,
So will the 50V ones be OK? They don't appear to belong to another build that I had planned, so maybe it was indicated that 50V is fine????
Any thoughts? What kind of voltages are to be expected there?

50 volts is fine. You can probably find an accurate voltage here somewhere. It's on the order of 11 to 13 volts.
Re: Liverpool EL84 Bypass Cap
i have a bunch of rubycon 220uf 35v.. 35v works fine in this spot..
Re: Liverpool EL84 Bypass Cap
Thanks guys! This is very good news indeed.
Things are pretty squashed over on that side. I'm trying to do both an Express and a Liverpool with the cap stack and VVR. I really should have went with cap cans.
Hopefully this means I can finish my first Liverpool without having to wait for any more parts to arrive. It's been a long road and a lot of waiting.
But I expect it will be my favorite amp of all time.
