I have quantities of pre-RoHS and vintage 147K and 150K RN65 and RN70 metal film resistors I am interested in trading for 220K.

I did a run of boards with Takman plate loads everywhere....we heard no appreciable improvement...in-fact Wima caps in place of other brands made more of a difference (in a positive way) than the Takmans. I would like to get some Holco's. God, I loved those things...

thanks Andy, you might have saved someone some money there :D

I 've just used Holco's on the V1 on my new build ...I might put them on V2 as well now you've mentioned it :D

Although I have not yet listened to the Takman's this is pretty much what I hear from others who have tried them. "Can't tell much difference". Wima's are nice! very neutral sounding cap (MKS 4)

The ones I want to try are the Shinkoh (non magnetic) tantalum resistors on the plates next :D

Same for me. Did try the Takman back then, CF and MF and overall not impressed especially considering the price. Told myself these were not a good choice for guitar amp.
I liked tantalum (got some AN ones) but pricey !!
