Re: EU resistor mafia :D
I have quantities of pre-RoHS and vintage 147K and 150K RN65 and RN70 metal film resistors I am interested in trading for 220K.

I did a run of boards with Takman plate loads everywhere....we heard no appreciable improvement...in-fact Wima caps in place of other brands made more of a difference (in a positive way) than the Takmans. I would like to get some Holco's. God, I loved those things...

Although I have not yet listened to the Takman's this is pretty much what I hear from others who have tried them. "Can't tell much difference". Wima's are nice! very neutral sounding cap (MKS 4)FUCHSAUDIO wrote: ↑Sun Nov 17, 2019 11:55 pm I did a run of boards with Takman plate loads everywhere....we heard no appreciable improvement...in-fact Wima caps in place of other brands made more of a difference (in a positive way) than the Takmans. The ones I want to try are the Shinkoh (non magnetic) tantalum resistors on the plates next

Same for me. Did try the Takman back then, CF and MF and overall not impressed especially considering the price. Told myself these were not a good choice for guitar amp.
I liked tantalum (got some AN ones) but pricey !!
