Dumble with reverb - completed pics

Post by amplifiednation »

#124 style amp with tweaked Normster style reverb

Designed the chassis and eyelet boards in Solidworks and had them punch pressed.

Eyelet holes a perfect .128". The rounded corners are awesome, very smooth G10. Cleaned with isopropyl alcohol.

Are you doing pre or post reverb?
Here's a post reverb a customer wanted, and with tremolo.

Post OD. Coming off the master and going right back to the same spot. I've gotten good results using the 1 tube design but I think the paralleled driver tube sounds fuller.

I haven't tried the pre.

Aaron this looks very nice.
What tremolo did you implement?

And both - what global NFB values you used?
Thanks in advance,
Niki

For this amp I used the bias tremolo.

Looks really good Taylor. Big project to put together but it looks like you're off to a great start. Good Luck!

Thanks guys

Bias/rectifier/relay supply all loaded up on a side mount board. Matching G10 spacer and some nylon washers keeping the connections isolated from the chassis

Footswitch wiring. Leds on Lower Lugs

Ah well kinda just got after this one today...fire her up tomorrow.

This was all lead-free solder with Kester 48 Flux. Pretty killer stuff, it wets like crazy. Smells awful though.

230v export transformer with aux relay transformer can get a little messy with the extra wires, but it's pretty clean overall. The rounded G10 boards are too cool. I decided to go one tube reverb on this one, we will see how big the effect is.
