New tube tester day...and some confusion?
Hey folks. I just recently picked up this 70s era B&K 607 solid state tube tester. I've been learning how to use it, and came across some instruction that was a bit confusing, could someone here enlighten me? I tried to test a 12AX7. In the tube chart there was a little asterisk by the tube that notes to check the front page. I've attached a photo of what it tells me to do next. Is it just me or is this confusing as hell? Connect what leads to where on the tube???

Ok, I may just be an idiot. Lol. The asterisk may just indicate that it's more than one amplifying element...

The best way to test a tube with this tester is after the initial test to drop the heater setting down and check how much emission the tube drops off to, this is a test of tube life left.
Even before you do any testing at all check you wall voltage and make note of it as a 4 volt drop from normal due to a the high load of a summer day will throw things off a good bit!

Those kind of testers are not very accurate.
More of a Good/ Bad type test.
