Who Sells Circuit Boards?

Post by ayan »

Guys,

There used to be a post in the For Sale area about someone that sells D-style circuit boards which somehow seems to be gone. Could someone please post or send me a PM with the link to the guy's website?

Thanks,

Gil

Well, I don't feel like cutting, drilling and etching...but I'm kind of curious about trying the "bright on clean only" mod. I guess this constitutes a bit of a relapse on my part. :)

I use 120pF ceranic discs in my amps...I could try maybe 100pF SM instead, probably "prettier" sounding.

Yes, that is what I use as well, 120pf SM.

I run a pair of EVM 12L's.

I have to add that for me, using a dual humbucker guitar that has Dimarzio 36th Anniversary PAF's in both positions, I really prefer the neck pup for clean tones and that bright on clean cap really enhances that.
It adds a nice snap to the tones.

The bridge pup is of course not as full sounding on clean but at a gig it might be ok.
In overdrive, the bridge pup sounds great.

My guitar has a five way switch which splits the pickups for a variety of sounds.

I've got my version of the bright-clean-only on a thread that is running concurrently:

https://tubeamparchive.com/viewtopic.ph ... c&start=15

It works really well and doesn't need any extra panel space (or holes). It does need an extra relay, though.

Cheers, Skip

I also like the idea of " raw" on clean only... Might as well try that too if I will be doing the bright mod. :)

One thing I remember trying way back was 2 different GNFB resistors on a relay.. Have a little less feedback on the clean channel to give it some brightness life and more harmonic content..Then clamp it down a bit keep it smooth and tight on the OD..I thought it worked pretty cool.. 8)

I've done the "bright on clean" (as well as "mid on realy") in both a #183 and #102 build.

Decided to make a new realy board for the four realys.

Below are pics of implementation in my #183 (sorry for the messy pic qual), but just menat to illustrate the idea.
