Finally finished the comprehensive 124 BOM. Could you check?

Post by Joost »

Well, it took me many evenings to read the schematic, the layout and the real world pics of the actual 124 amp, and get from the generic Bill of Materials to this, made specifically for the 124 with skyliner update. In the generic, much was missing or needed changing. I also added the parts for the small Normster Dumbleator.

I also added the function of each part as best I could.
I also added the latest part number and link to where to get it in most cases

I would really appreciate it if you guys would check this thoroughly, so we can add this to the 124 files.

I have attached the loop I meant.

PS: who can point me towards the prober sliding switches for the back?

PPS: ***UPDATED file 1.1 -> scroll down***

That Dumbleator schematic is not the one recognized as being the most accurate.
I believe this one is the accepted one.

On the BOM the 6PS caps are polyester.

I believe the FET jack is the Switchcraft 14b.

I commend you on your efforts and it does take the existing docs a step further. However, unless one is going to use it a build sheet, it's still a generic BOM. Like someone said earlier, people tend to use whatever parts they like.

You still have several trhings to clean up....Carling pwr/standby switches, sprague axial caps

Also, I think intergrating the Dumblelator makes it convoluted.

Could you be more specific. English is not my native language so I might've made some translation mistakes. What do I need to change?

Carling Tech, Toggle Switches, 15 A SPST (ON-OFF) Standby, Power

Sprague Atom 500V, 20µF Axial, Power Filter
Sprague Atom 500V, 10µF Axial, Power Filter

I would use Piher trimmers for the OD & PI

Thanks guys. I changed:

-Dumbleator to new values and parts based on new schematic
-FET Input jack
-Piher trimmers
-Carling switch
-Sprague Atom Axial

Any other feedback welcome. Here is the new file, version 1.1

BTW, TM, I hear you, it's not a build sheet, but at least now all the parts are accounted for and I tried to point towards vintage correct parts as much as possible. Including the different types of resistors etc. So I hope this will help people a bit

You are the same Joost... We corresponded a few times back on the AGF when I was ordering my Ryan Mission Grand a few years ago. Nice to see you on the amp garage.
