JimiB,
Thanks for the suggestion! I'm looking into the Marstran 100w OT as well. As far as I know, a lower primary impedance means a later onset of distortion(?). Please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

The tone reference I'm using for the build is here. I subscribe to the consensus that clips don't provide an accurate indication of the live sound, but here's the setup, if that helps. It goes strat>Fuzz Face>MXR1500>MXR Doubler/Flanger>Fullton-Webb>slant 4x12 w/ Heritage G12H30's series/parallel @8Ω. As for proximity to the camera, the cabinet is facing the back of the keyboardist in the foreground.

My build is to be that tone w/PAB and op-amp/FET. Showman PT, HAD's reverb circuit/transformer, and I picked up the last Radio Shack filament transformer in town, per Gary's posting . With that, does that amp sound like a choke OR resistor setup? That's my next big question. (FWIW, it seem unorthodox to figure it out this way to me).

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as always!

Thanks and take care all,
Hale
