VVR better for cathode or fixed bias?

Post by markusw »

Maybe the question should be: does VVR work equally well with both?
Sorry if this has been asked before....

Peace,

You need to get the specific VVR for each type of bias. The one for fixed bias is a little more involved because it changes the bias as the B+ changes. IMHO each works well.

I used many in both type amps, and they work great.

Cool, great to know! Thanks a lot for your answers 8)
(Actually, my question probably should have been whether VVR Bias tracking for fixed bias amps works well. )
