VVR better for cathode or fixed bias?

Maybe the question should be: does VVR work equally well with both?

You need to get the specific VVR for each type of bias. The one for fixed bias is a little more involved because it changes the bias as the B+ changes. IMHO each works well.

I used many in both type amps, and they work great.
