My Express is neither bright nor does it have a hard attack. It's a compressed and pretty musical and smooth. Maybe I didn't build it right. With the bright switch on high it get a bit Marshally but doesn't shake the walls any where near like my 100 watt MK2. Nowhere near the punch. The 100 watt is virtually unusable on todays stages.
