lots and lots of looking.... searching.... scrapping.... they are out there, they are just not easy to get out of the few who have them. i've found several in the last few years but the price is getting high the last one was over $100. it all comes down to how bad you want them i guess. 8) Some people are making some really nice wooden ones as well

If it's not an original T'wreck, may I suggest a "sniffyduke" badge instead?

Yeah, I could hear the brakes screeching on that question- Just be creative and call your amp something original- it's not a Trainwreck, so I would suggest that you not kid yourself or anybody else that it is.....

well put Ron!

Now on the odd shot you find all original parts, date code correct, and get ken's blessing i'll sell you a logo, but not unless it's a wreck!

i've searched for more then 5 years buying surplus lots just to get a part here or there to clone an original wreck I just need time to start building but even with access to trainwreck on my bench to clone from i'm not sure i'm comfortable using a trainwreck logo out of respect.

just saying i've worked hard to make a perfect clone and i still have doubt.

slightly different question

Post by jaysg »

What are the originals made of and like? I can't find any really good pics of one, so I can't tell if they're painted wood, 16th" plastic, or what.

If somebody here would come up with a cool Sniffy Dog logo I would be damn proud to use one. We all should. This forum has given us all some Holy Grail tone and a ton of enjoyment and comrade.
