I see what you mean, I have quite a few schematics and they don't all agree on the values or tapers.

I would go with what Dogears said.

My D'Lite uses 100KB for both.

Do yourself a favor and try 100k audio for the drive/level, and 100k linear for the od ratio/master. The midcap is a matter of personal preference- nice to put it on a pull switch so u can do both. I use both, but prefer .05, it gives the od a 'warmer' character most of the time.

I looked at Hoffmans site, the transformer listed there,#018343, is listed as 2, 4, and 8 ohm, not 4,8 and 16 ohm. I'm not trying to be a smart ass or anything, I am wanting a source for the Bassman weight transformer with a 16 ohm tap. The transformer you got is a good one, I used the #018343 in my ODS, you might want to double check what to label your output jacks however. Terry

txbluesboy,

The Fender Bassman (Blackface) uses 50W at 4.2k

so a Hammond HX1650N will work $94 has 4.3k 60W 4,8,16

Also a Dynaclone A-431-S $119 60W 4.3K 4,8,16

That Ebay transformer would really be a good deal I think, but shipping and handling adds another $20.

That looks like a great tranny and price as long as the quality is good.
It's listed as 4.2K primary.

I used the Prosonic tranny but I think that ebay one is a bit beefier looking.

I used the Prosonic OT in my SSS, Its not as beefy as the Bassman transformer, but it sounds excellent. I don't see it on Angela's web site anymore though, I'm not sure if it's still available. Terry

On #124 is the grid stopper on the input triode 33K or 22K. Again the schem and layout don't match up.

From the pics it looks like 33K. Shouldn't matter too much but I would like to know.

Ok ya the resistor does seem to be 33K.

I started wiring the the PI and OD tube. Here is where I am so far...

Can someone check the lead dress? I tried to follow the layout, the 124 photos and Funk's lead dress.
