I built it a couple of months ago and have been breaking the speakers in----my friend came over last night and did the Surf demo with the 1950's Stratocaster that his grandfather gave him yrs ago----he did the backing drums/organ on his computer and played the guitar tracks in the studio across the hall from my amp workshop.
What do you think?......................gldtp99

I live in Arlington, Texas--- my amp workshop is in the rehersal/recording studio building here: http://www.myspace.com/endurancemusicproductions
Being in close contact with musicians of different ages/styles who come to record/rehearse helps me as an amp builder---i get many different opinions as far as what kind of amp tone people are looking for.......gldtp99

Re: BF Vibrolux Reverb replica
Wow that looks a lot nicer than the old Fenders I have been in, nice build and who's kit?
Re: BF Vibrolux Reverb replica
The chassis/eyelet boards/faceplates came in a bundled ebay auction----the seller is from Thailand and has had these parts bundles for various Fender models on there for some time---i just checked ebay and i don't see any on there right now-----i bought the chassis/boards/faceplates bundle a couple of yrs ago and have been assembling parts since then---i built the amp chassis a couple of months ago and got the new Jensen RI C10R speakers because the orig Oxfords sounded terrible.
The orig Fender '67 BF Vibrolux Reverb cab/speakers/reverb tank i got from a friend who'd been using it as a speaker cab for large amps on stage--- it's amazing the orig Oxfords worked at all after all that---- the orig reverb tank was hosed, too (busted spring retainer and one end of spring crudely wrapped)---- so i pulled the tank from a 70's SF Twin reverb project amp i have (not rebuilt yet but i have a new reverb tank and cables for when i eventually get to this one).................gldtp99

Great looking build. I love these amps. 200V on the plates is just perfect
