Anyone have a schematic for a '46 Fender Professional

Who Does this guy think he is?

First post and he is looking for the Holy Grail

Well long Story Short I bought a Fender CS repro of the 46 Professional

it crapped out with a squeel and fried the 5u4 rectifier when I turned it on.

So we went inside and some things like the choke is missing from the circuit!

anyone have the original ?

From what I've read about the 46 Professional in the 50 years of Fender Amplifiersl

The circuit is a little different to the Woody Deluxe and Princeton it also mentions a choke

does anyone have a 46 Pro? ?

For the select few who needed more than what the 1946 Fender Deluxe offered Fender had a step up model that was their genuine best effort: The Professional. The wooden Cabinet was a larger version of the hardwood Deluxe and Princeton made with metal protectors mounted across the Red, Blue or Gold grilles. The components used were the best available at the time and really more than most players needed. The Jensen 15" field-coil speaker was about as good as it got and cost more then twice the price-and handled twice the power of the Deluxe's 10". The two metal 6L6 power tubes were capable of putting out between 18 and 25 watts, compared to the 10 to 14 watts from the two 6v6's in the Deluxe. Both the Mic and the Instrument channels used cathode-biased 6SJ7 tubes, which required a more elaborate circuit design then the 6SC7 twin triode, as on the Deluxe. The 6SJ7 sharp-cutoff pentode required two extra connections, (screen and suppressor grids) but was capable of delivering more current (+50%) as well as running at a higher voltage (+20%) then the 6SC7. The Sharp-Cutoff feature of the 6SJ& was the special winding of these tubes so that the amplification factor would go down the harder the input was hit. This was a compressor tube, designed to put out a high signal with minimal distortion from either a weak input or a hot one. The Professional and the Deluxe both used a 6n7 twin triode for their Paraphase inverter, but the Professional was equipped with a 5U4 rectifier which was capable of delivering more current (+80%) then the 5Y3. A heftier high-voltage supply included a choke (inductor) as well as larger filter caps. The components were still connected together where feasible, with ground connections Grounded directly to the chassis. The Control panel was the same as the Deluxe's and in fact had Model 26 stenciled on but was usually scratched out. Controls included Instrument and Mic Volumes and a backwards Tone (counter-clockwise for full treble). The Professional was made in Limited Numbers, almost as if each one was built to order.

Not much help here but I use to own a 49 Dual Professional. It was basically the first Twin using two 10s I sold it years ago but it was definatly a cool amp. The choke that you are supposedly missing is probably the coil used in the electromagnetic "field coil" speaker. They use to wire the speaker field coil up as the power supply choke and it served two purposes. Just a guess
