No snubbers on V2?
HRM doesn't need snubbers... you can control that hi end with the HRM eq.
As far as I know...I'm not an expert.

What schematic are you using as a reference? So far, it's a great job on the layout.
Well it's a layout not a schematic...

Why do you use point-to-point instead of PCB? Because it sounds better?
Not to be Anal,Picky or a pain in the ass here... Dumble amps Like the real deal, Ceriatone, etc... are not considered point to point technically speaking..They are considered circuit board amps...To be considered a true point to point amp the parts (resistors, caps etc..) should be mounted (usually with terminal strips) right on the components...(Sockets,jacks,etc..)
If you take your Ceriatone to an old tube jockey from the 50's and 60's and and tell him the amp is point to point and he looks at you funny this is why..Just thought I would mention it.. I see alot of this mis-nomer being thrown around quite a bit especially on The Gear Page...
If you think about it true point to point amps usually in most cases inflict an in-efficient layout and generally require the use of more wire..causing them to be big antennas.. This is why many of those older and newer true point to point amps are noisy and buzz a bunch not to mention look like rat's nests to me..Some will tell you mounting these parts closer to the source provides a sonically better sounding amp.. I don't buy it Back to what you are doing..

It's alive. 8)

I took the amp to my amp tech for initial power up, just in case...
Here's me setting bias at around 33mV

These are my plate voltages...

V1a 196V
V1b 198V
V2a 193V
V2b 193V
PIa 255V
PIb 247V
6L6 471V

...and finally one happy picture for the end :D :D

Excellent job.
Thanks...

will make some...
...actually I plan on making a little test here. Currently I'm waiting on the tech to finish a HRM... he's currently working on one. I will borrow that amp and than I'll have Skyliner nonHRM, Skyliner HRM and BM HRM amp in one room.
I'll try not to embarrass myself and record something here... Can't wait to hear all those amps.

How does it sound?

According to my bias table you are around 50% bias.

Did you use a Ceriatone PT?

Curious if you used the dropping string that the layout you posted shows?

471v on the plates is up there, eh?

No, I got my trannies from my tech and the dropping string is the same as on the Ceriatone layout.
I measured the PT voltages and they are a bit high...
PT prim 227V
PT sec 734V
PT heaters 6,67V

Very curious about the content of the Ceriatone kit (boardset + chassis) - apart from the iron, was it all there or did you have to source much yourself?

Yes, in fact in an HRM-BM every board, except the main board, is an etched copper printed circuit board.

Is there templates anywhere for the FET, PUS, etc boards?
