chassis has a home!
It's taken me quite a while to complete this little wood working project. Someday I'll bite the bullet and order a pro cab from Distortion (Larry). This one is cool enough though. My rocket finally has something to wear!

Looks good dude. What did you use as the grill cloth?

Thanks lemon. I had some extra marshall wheat/cane cloth left over from a cab I recently re-clothed. The head matches that cab nicely.
Re: chassis has a home!
Nice job on that head cab project everything blends very well together. The faceplate and front valance covering really add a lot to the amp.

Ron,
Excellent looking cabinet... we already know this is an awesome sounding amp. It's great to see it has a handle and tube protection now (aka gig ready).

Yeah, Ron, this looks very cool. That 2nd pic must be reflecting the sun - where do you live again?

I do like the rear screen bit. I'd say nice first home for a nice amp.

Re: chassis has a home!
very beautiful! I'm lovin' it?
The lion faceplate...? Where did you get it? It looks very sweet.
Oooh! Lion and the lamb...powerful(I just looked at the zoomed in picture).
Is that a laser etched one from the laser-etching days that we used to enjoy on this forum?
My poor liverpool and express that I finished a few weeks ago are still awaiting their houses. Hopefully soon...

Re: chassis has a home!
Thanks bcmatt! Yeah, the picture of a lion and a lamb seemed like the perfect metaphor for what this amp is all about. It can go from lean to mean in no time at all. Tones from chimey jangle to rawkus rock can easily be dialed up with the rocket.bcmatt wrote:very beautiful! I'm lovin' it?

No, this faceplate is not from the laser-etch batch that was part of the group build a while back. I had this one made recently with a local laser-etching company. I came across the picture and thought it would look great on the faceplate. I wasn't sure how it would all turn out. I'm pretty happy with the results.

Ron,
Nice work. Just goes to show what you can do with a little effort. The Woodcraft drawer option really does provide a great base to work from without breaking the bank.
