Hi Brandon,
I think that I understand what you are talking about. If done and set up in a specific way it seems to me that SSSs and Dumblelands can both do the glassy and the silky sounds.
My personal impression was allways, that how much Dumbleland is in a SSS and how much SSS in a Dumbleland depends on how precisely all the ingrediences of the cocktail are mixed (tonestack, inductor or not, reverb circuit, amount of preamp feedback, voltages, PI, kind of OT...).
So I am not that sure, if the "flatness" ( I think I understand what you are talking about) of this special 150 W SSS with the Dumbleland PI is mainly a result of the PI or of the complete mix of all ingrediences.
At least not one of the Dumblelands for Guitar I know (all usual DL PI) had this kind of "flatness" (all very responsive Rock'N'Roll monsters), and I think that one reason for this this could perhaps be that they all did not sport a lot of negative feedback in the preamp. But that is only a guess of course.
Anyway:
Have a great time and - Chapeau!
