steel or aluminum chassis
Other than the fact that steel is magnetic and alum and stainless isnt what would be preffered for the chassis for the tw rocket build . Thanks Mike

If you care about staying true to the original, aluminum was used in real wrecks. If you're doing any drilling yourself aluminum is easier to work with. Unless you've got a great deal on a pre-drilled steel chassis there's not a real compelling reason to use steel IMO.

I'm with Ben on this one, I use both types but really prefer aluminum to work with. I have good industrial bits so drilling is not that big a deal but I like working with aluminum better. Also, what bugs me about the painted steel chassis is having to remove paint here and there for grounding vs minimal prep work for aluminum. Unpainted steel chassis will need to be either painted or powder coated or clear coated to prevent rusting.
