Then when PAB is switched on, the jumper is switched off, making the bass a bit tighter in PAB.
Also the mid cap can play a big role.
Use a 250K mid pot and then the cap that sounds best with a single coil is the .05uf and .01uf for humbuckers.
Some wire a switch to that so they can switch that on the fly.
Do you have a bright cap on the master?
Also some like a 330pf for the treble cap, I tried that and didn't like it and went back to 270pf.
Speakers play a very important role as you probably know, I recently bought a EVM 12L Classic and really like it.
I have it paired with a WGS CL80 but will probably get another 12L down the road.
I would like to try a Delta Pro but those only come in 8 ohms so I can't use that with my 16 ohm 12L.
That's a clever approach, very well done...
I've got 250k mid pot and 330pf treble cap, I like this combination, 0,01 for the mid cap, and the curious thing is that is good with humbuckers and good with singles.
Maybe I should try a 0,047 instead of the 0,1 for the bass, as I've said before, I've got too much bass and I have to keep the pot really low.
No bright cap on the clean master, but a switchable bright cap on the OD level, I found it useful with really dark guitars to give a little "sizzle" in the top end and make the OD a bit more aggressive.
Another curious thing is that the amp sounds great with v30, almost "marshallesque" OD tone, with a Les Paul or the PRS, trimming down some mids on the HRM board (PAB ON), the amp really starts to sound modern and tight.
On the other side the clean is not so great as a "regular high voltage version", it's a thick dark clean that translates into a great OD channel.
