Tone Stack mods

Post by roberto »

Hi,
I've tried different TS (Dumble, Fender, Mesa, Trainwreck, Komet..) and different mods (slope and treble cap mainly), but would like to know if there are some common mods on TS.

Thanks

I like to take my decade box (resistor substitution box) and experiment with different slope resistor values.

It makes it much easier to hear the differences while flipping through the different values.

I need a cap decade box now.

I like the komet and mesa mark EQs too with four 100k&1k5//4u7 stages and 10n coupling.
With the mark eq I use to switch the treble cap to have a bluesy boost (a useful 2+2 channels in a stomp-box preamp).
