I buttoned up my own D'Lite last last week (only took me 1 year + to finish).
I added my relay board and the Iron Sound EL to the basic package, and all went well. About the only trouble I had at first was preamp tube noise and feedback. I finally wrapped a rubber band around each of the tubes, and the problem was gone.
I'm not wild about the tone with single coil PUPS, but the amp really shines with my 1993 Fender Robben Ford guitar.

Re: D'Lite Finished Finally
Congrats on finally gettin' er done.
You may like to do some of the mods on it to tune it to your taste.
Mid cap, 250K mid pot, choke resistor, FET resistor, etc.
The tweaked layout has all these mods on it.
What power tubes are you running?
I started out with 6L6's so I never experienced 6V6's with this amp.

Re: D'Lite Finished Finally
Change everything to match the tweeked layout and it will absolutely kill...
Re: D'Lite Finished Finally
I put in a couple of 5881s I had on hand.
I have no problems with the tone, but the dual coil PUPS just seem to match the amp better. I've got plenty of smooth tone, bloom, and great harmonics as it is. I might have to try my Zen Drive clone for a boost with the single coils.
I looked up the "tweaked" version, and I think I might just try it.
Thanks for your suggestions.

Re: D'Lite Finished Finally
Yeah the mid cap is generally the culprit between single coils and humbuckers.
Some like a .05uf there for strat and the .01uf for humbuckers.
On the tweaked layout there are a couple errors.
First is where the standby and OT center tap are shown connected to the cap board.
Should go to the end of the power resistor.
Also it shows a 500K master when it should stay a 1Meg.

Thanks everyone!
Can you direct me to the latest "tweeked" diagram and schematic?
The one I found does not have the errors mentioned. It is shown as Rev 1.2. Perhaps this is the final rev.

Re: D'Lite Finished Finally
You'd better triple up on the impedance selector - a single contact is not really beefy enough with that style switch.

Re: D'Lite Finished Finally
One of the first things I did was to install the impedance selector switch from Hoffman.
Here is the Tweaked layout I have.
I corrected the standby switching error but the master pot is still listed as 500K.
