Another clip of the HRM/Hot Cat

Post by ontariomaximus »

Here is another clip. Clean channel first, based on the Bad Cat Hot Cat 30, JD hits the Boss ABY channel for the HRM minimalist, then JD hits the mod switch on the front which takes the HRM into a more Marshally territory.

Pair of EL34's cathode bias, pretty hot.

It is a 2 channel amp with 2 separate inputs. The overdrive channel is a minimalist ODS-101 HRM (clean tonestack bypassed, no mid boost, no deep switch, od tonestack moved to front). There is also a switch that takes the hrm into a more Marshall territory by switching the values of 3 components. This overdrive channel feeds one side of the long tailed pair phase inverter.

The clean channel is a simple one-stage affair based on the bad cat hot cat and it feeds the other side of the phase inverter. The output section is a pair of EL34's cathode biased, no feedback. B+ about 450VDC.
