Latest build

Post by markmalin »

These are poor quality pictures - just from my cell phone last night. The face plates finally came in so I put it all together. This is my own chassis design (and obviously my own front panel design). The circuit is pretty much the tweaked D'Lite with a few layout changes and some component tweaks.

Very nice! :D

I like the impedance switch labeling as I can never remember the way it goes when you switch power tubes.

I have a dumb question Mark.

Why did you use 10 watt screen resistors?

I thought one of the reasons to use a lower power resistor there was to provide a kind of safety so that if a tube shorts out it will take the screen resistor out instead of the tranny?
Just curious of why you did it that way.

It's not a dumb question - those things are HUGE. It's all I could find at the time - Mouser was sold out of the 5W guys and I needed to get these done. I guess I should try to get some 5 watters when I can and swap them out for the guy.
