ODS and Hollowbody

Post by ic-racer »

I was reading the leaflet of Mark Whitfield's album "Marksman" and noticed that he thanks Robben Ford for the use of his Dumble amp to record the album. Its a good album and has a great hollowbody tone. Mark uses an Ibanez hollowody on that album. I think it is an L5 copy.

Having heard that, I though I would try out my 70s Ibanez ES175 copy with my 124 clone. I used the clean channel and used the following settings:
50W
Bright OFF
MID OFF
ROCK
Volume and master around 4 and presence straight up.
Bass and Mid were cut because it was boomy, but I overcompensated a little.
Of course I can't play like Mark :?

Sounds GREAT. It reminds me some someone but I can't figure out who. Great playing as well.
