Larry Carlton on guitar player tv

Post by Chris G »

Hi Guy's,
I came across this over on the gear page www.guitarplayertv.com.

There's a nice viedo segment with Larry Carlton, 1 song of his new record and a q&a session, very nice!!!

Check out larry with not 1 but 2 Dumbles, one's probabley a spare.......pretty good tone,as the recording audio is not that great!!!!

Anyway check it out if you can!!!!!! :D

Thanks
Chris

Pretty cool. Larry always travels with 2 Dumbles now, one's a spare. Plus he mikes it and sends that signal into an effects processor, routes the wet signal through a small PA on stage.

I had the chance to talk to Georg Wadenius last summer. If you don't know him, he has played with Larry Carlton, Steely Dan, and on numerous albums as a session guitarist..and he was in the Saturday Nigh Live band for a few years.

He was not familiar with Dumble amps, and said that Carlton played different Fender amps when he had played with him.

I was kind of surprised that he didn't know about the Dumbles.
