Your new Reverberocket 2
An Ampeg came to me yesterday. Real clean, still with its first owner.
It had a bad solder join on the heater dress. It also still has has its factory papers.

Nice but the owner may not want his name and address posted on an open forum....

He's moved a couple times since, and an old warranty card isn't disparaging
in any way. Unless you use a Fender......

Re: Your new Reverberocket 2
I was really surprised. Its very clean, they're usually beat to tar, and the
papers are crisp too. A few things about the amp, first the metal shield
over the chassis, in the top of the combo, can make removing the chassis a
real pain. The component board is very thin hardboard atop a strip of
plywood, with the two screwed together to the chassis. And, the trem/vib
LDR looks to be a 12v automotive light bulb glued in to the end of about
2 or 3 inches of aluminum tubing, with leads soldered right to the lead tabs at
the bulb base, with wires out the other side through a rubber tube, bung, or
grommet in the end of the tube. A very economically built amp.

Sure thing, I've seen a rash of old ampeg this year. Gemini, several rockets.
Its more a matter of time. The input circuit is very easy and the recovery
really is too. It would be very easy to mod a princeton to function like that
or any other amp.

Don't I remember something about Ken Fisher working for Ampeg and writing that trouble shooting guide?

I bought a pair of shoes from a drug dealer the other day. I dunno what he laced them with but I’ve been tripping all day,
