I use Sommer Spirit's, too. The eye opener for me was when I plugged a Monster Cable straight into my recording interface, then a Planet Waves, then the Spirit. The Monster came off sounding like a cheap bass through a cheap amp.

It is amazing what a good cable can do for your tone.

You can also use different cables on different amps to adjust the brightness or lack of top end.

I didn't buy into the hype for years, but once I had a decent cable it all became clear! :D

I know! Not to get too far off, but now I wonder how our Sommers stack up against the Evidence Audio stuff! I'm not going to find out!

It's 28.6 pf/ft.

really wasnt looking to bust anyones balls - but wanted to make sure I wasn't dreaming. I am over it.
water under the bridge, rmb550, no big deal.

I haven't verified it yet, but was told Canare GS-6 is what George L cables are made of.

although the pf / ft seems high, the frequency characteristics per the sites chart is impressive. see atachment. No noticable drop at least out to 50kHz.

That's weird because I could definitely tell the difference between the George L and the Sommer cable.

Definitely. I'm in California, and Tom is in Oregon. I bought mine through lavacable.com, and I'm sure he did, too.
