In the 60's people took acid to make the world weird. Now the world is weird , and they take Prozac to make it normal.

This is what we treat burns with most of the time. It's a great antibiotic. Prevention of infection is the key. Infection an turn a 2nd degree to a 3rd degree burn. Be aware that Silvadene will stain things black, like your wife's sheets, pillow cases, couch  Cover the burn with a dressing to keep yourself out of trouble  It's not an over-the-counter medication :(

This is an old herbal treatment that has been shown to be valid scientifically. Aloe Vera plants were common in households in the past. A housewife/househusband (politically correct :?:  ) could break off a portion of the plant and squeeze the juice onto the burn. Keep that Aloe Vera gel in the 'fridge. It feels great when it's cold.
Blister fluid is protective, healing, and comforting. Leave the blister as long as the blister remains intact. When it ruptures, the blister should be removed to prevent bacterial growth in the fluid.

Unfortunately, Gary, it will take several weeks for this to improve :( If Ibuprofen doesn't bother your stomach and you don't have a aspirin allergy, 800 mg 4 times a day may help (Advil x4). If your on other meds, check with your doctor. Just remember to breath deep (even though it hurts like hell) so you don't get pneumonia

Everybody take 2 aspirins and call me in the morning :D
