OD trimmer and resistor in #124
I am in the process of building a #124 clone. I notice there is some debate about the resistor coming off the 350K OD trimmer. Most layouts and discussions say it is 220K. The schematic by odurboy(?), and his comments, are inclined toward a 120K resistor. What are people's opinion on this? Has anyone tried both and comment on what they think is the best value? I know I can just try both after the thing is built, but I would like informed opinions if possible.
Re: OD trimmer and resistor in #124
I've seen 220K on the 50 watt and 120K on the 100 watt.
May have to experiment to what sounds the best.

Use this schematic, it has been thoroughly reviewed.

Rob.I was there, I heard the amp, I saw the resistor, I took a picture of it... and it is a 220K. And here is a blowup of it, just in case.
Regardles of what I or Brandon say, this is something very easy for you guys to try: 220K, 120K, 350K trimmer, 100K trimmer, etc. The amp in question was not muddy, but it was brown sounding.... both in clean and OD channel. In one of my own amps, with 220K + 100K trimmer, I tried a 250K Level pot (instead of the more common 100K) the sound was not brown: it was downright shitty.
