I considered that, and then realized that's what the cut knob does for us.
I think Ken thought about that, too.
We tweaked the cut knob at the very end of recording from 12:00 to about 10:00 and the slight brittleness went away. (You can hear this subtle change at about 0:58 on the last recording "Rocket with Pedals")
Steve
For the most part the recording only shows ONE tone setting and a couple different volume settings. We played with different tone settings later and were really able to dial in a very sweet sounding tone while at a gig.

Nope, different. You also have a Treble and a Cut control that would appear to do the same thing...but turning each one affects the tone in a slightly different way. When you turned the Cut control to affect the high end brittleness and pedal fizz you also affected other frequencies but the bright cap pretty much ONLY affects the brittleness and pedal fizz without affecting much else. You may prefer it with 100pF I don't know...but I just think you owe it to yourself to try it (because it's so easy). The guys on the Vox forums all have different preferences...some of which has to do with their 'typical' volume setting...but I think they're 'favorite consensus' value was 68pF.I considered that, and then realized that's what the cut knob does for us.
I can understand not wanting to try it...these things sound so good you don't wanna mess with 'em too much. I had planned to compare several things but never did just because it sounds so good as is.
Early brewers were primarily women, mostly because it was deemed a woman's job. Mesopotamian men, of some 3,800 years ago, were obviously complete assclowns and had yet to realize the pleasure of brewing beer.

I'd sure like to hear a comparison of the Rocket and LP through the Marshall 12's playing essentially the same thing...
The 10s seemed very bright (duh) and I thought that the Marshall speakers sounded much better than the Eminence, IMHO....

Speaker opinion
I am very new here but feel like I know many of you as I have been reading everything...enjoyed the fireworks too. I thought the Eminence speakers sounded uninspired. In fact they sucked. The 10 inch Jensen's were awesome but a bit bright/harsh. That could be tamed/harnessed however. I was surprised how great the Marshall cab sounded. Is it possible to tell us what the speakers were? And how much did the closed back add to the sweet sound?
Thanks guys.
Thanks guys.

I think it sounds fantastic as well. The Rocket might turn out to be my favorite Trainwreck.
I’d like to start a religion. That’s where the money is.
