Fired up my Trainwreck inspired 6W6 variant of a Liverpool today . Very nice sound , crunch begins about 3-4 and has a really nice amount of 2nd order harmonics . Does not have the same huge bottom end that my Rocket has , but breaks up much earlier , and at approx. 16-18 watts it certainly is not nearly as loud Had to mess with the P.S. a bit for thew low screen voltage (150V) will post a dwg as soon as I can . My lay out sucks I know , but the noise level is quite acceptable with no bottom cover plate yet .
Used a Hammond 182G110 toroid for the PT and added a 166Q6 for the huge filament draw of the 6W6`s(1.2A each) . O.T is 1620 Hammond (I`m CanAlien E`h)
No Input voltages
B+1 = 304 B+2(not used) =196 B+3 = 162 B+4 = 138 B+5(screens) = 125
A.C. was 121.5vac P.T 239vac B.R. 332vdc

I tweaked the power supply again . I realized that tying the screens to B+5 maybe was not the best idea as I have seperated the grounds on the P.S. for Power and Preamp . I added another dropping resistor to B+2 to get it under 150V ( Max . screen is 150VDC ) for these tubes .
Had it out to Jam nite on Wednesday and was quite impressed with the sound , not as nice for rythm as the Rocket , but great for leads and tolerates my Roland GT3 pedal quite nicely , more than enough volume level for the large warehouse we play at . Very much a Wreck in that it cleans up really well with just the guitar volume . Pretty quiet for not having a bottom plate yet

Cool use of a not so popular tube. I need to quit procrastinating and put some of mine to use. Thanks for the info.
To get your screen voltage down, you might try the regular power supply topology, but use two capacitors in series for the screens (two 80uf's that would total 40uf in series) and connect the screens to the junction of the two caps, not the top. You should get something pretty close to 150 if your plates are at 304. I would add a 100k-220k resistor in parallel with each cap, too
Still tweaking the "RadioPool" and was really screwed up with wierd noises happening . I thought maybe it was all the flourecent lighting , but low and behold testing on top of a speaker cab proved to be the culprit . put a bottom cover plate on and , viola , really, really quiet . Better than the Rocket even .
On this amp I`m really conservitive on my Cathode current . I`m thinking I might try a pair of 6V6`s or even 6L6`s . The P.S. is stout (234mA) and should handle it , not so sure about the 1620 @ 20W . Any thoughts out there on this??
