Another Thank You Thread

Post by Structo »

The Thanks thread in the Trainwreck section got me thinking about how helpful this forum has been to me.
Although I had a basic electronic background tube theory was something my long ago college coursed skipped over because everybody knew that solid state was better.
Fast forward 30 years or so and my interest as a guitar picker in tube amps got the better of me and I bought a Carvin Belair.

But after reading more and more I decided to build an amp and started with the Brown Note D'Lite kit to get my feet wet.

This forum has helped me understand better what those little vacuum bottles do and you guys have made it much easier to understand them and work out the few small problems I have had.

So without naming the individual members here that have helped me I just want to throw out a huge THANK YOU for everything this forum makes available.
The guys that have helped me know who you are and without that help I would still be scratching my head and possibly never built an amp.

I hope everbody has a wonderful Christmas and a great healthy New Year.
Tom

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Thanks for putting into words what I'm sure many of us have been thinking Structo. In some ways this forum has been an almost life changing experience, or is that just the solder fumes talking. 8)

Merry Christmas,

Paul.

I got this in an email and thought it was hilarious!!! Thought I would share..
Merry Christmas everyone!!!!

I need a favor!! Do you know someone that wants a puppy?

My neighbor has a puppy he's giving away (FREE!).
It's a Dachshund, it's house broken, and is great with kids.

He's giving it away because his wife says the dog 'stares' at her when she is undressing,

and that gives her the 'Heebie Jeebies. I think she is just weird!

If you're interested, or know someone who is, let me know.

Here's a picture of the dog.

Yep, a great year of learning from the very patient and understanding group here.
Holiday cheers to one and all.

Ditto, still just scratching the surface here, but I have two incredible amps as a result of so much help from this forum.

Enjoy the season.
