Mounting Pots

My ALPHA pots have the anti-rotation tab on them. Is it customary to punch the chassis for that, or do most builders just cut it off?

Unless you're copying a BOGEN cut it off and use a 3/8" intertooth lock washer.

Thanks guys, I just got the box of Mouser parts. Need to design the chassis next.

The only reason to keep the tab is if the chasis you are using has the small locating hole by the shaft hole.
