Hi guys,
I'm building my second D'Lite style amp and while wiring it up noticed that on the original one I built I had shielded cablet going to both the wiper and the one side of the OD Drive pot. Looks like in the layout diagram a shielded wire should only be on the connection from the wiper to V2. Will haveing that other wire shielded effect the tone? I'm considering not shielding that one on this chassis I'm building up -- but wondering if I should re-wire it with non shielded on the one I already built.
Thoughts?
Thanks,
Mark.

Re: Do I shield both OD Drive wires??
Shield it if you need the noise reduction. Don't shield it if you are concerned that the capacitance of your cable is killing tone. The further along the signal chain, the less of an issue it becomes. Good lead dress may obviate the need for shielding.
Re: Do I shield both OD Drive wires??
The "real deal" uses 2 shielded wires. Some say the extra capacitance helps smooth out the overdrive.
