I was having a look at the Blues Master pre-amp and the 50K midrange pot kind of freaked me out. I thought if that is turned up all the way I'm not sure the tone controls would work at all?
Looking at the circuit it seems as if the amp would have mids to burn?
I imagine the HRM tones would be thicker sounding?
Look forward to your replies.

I like the Blues master which is the guts of the ultraphonix mods but I like a 25K instead. They have more midsMark wrote:I was having a look at the Blues Master pre-amp and the 50K midrange pot kind of freaked me out. Re: What does the Blues master sound like?
Why a 25K mid? It is the exact same things as 50K mid. Pot is a variable resistor. The 50K just has more range. Same tone at equivalent settings.
drz, have you seen an Ultraphonix? How can you be sure they are the same guts?

I believe that he means that the bm pi is the basis for the pi used in ultraphonix mod.
