Pictures of my Express's new home
Here are some pictures of my new Bubinga cabinet. This thing has taken some time to get the finish on it. Tolex sure sounds great for my next amp. I don't want to take this thing out of the house, in fear of scratching her. I still need to finish the faceplate, but I'm looking into how I am going to do the lettering. I was going to wait until it was completed, but had to share some pictures. Thanks for all the sharing here. This amp would not be here today without you guys and of course Mr. Fisher.

Nice piece of work. I like.

Where did you get the wood?
I take it you play left handed.

Thank you, I got the wood at a local hardwood dealer. They do not mind if I pick through a unit to get just the right piece. I can spend alot of time there. Left handed or right handed I would probably sound the same, bunch of noise very little talent.

Re: Pictures of my Express's new home
Look into a local trophy shop for the faceplate. Some of them are great, they'll work with customer supplied material and provide a nice panel for a reasonable price. It's pretty much old school pantograph engraving. I funnel work through a shop that does custom plates for around $15.00 each. On the other hand some of these guys fancy themselves to be artists, they want a setup charge, a layout charge and blah blah blah... it adds up to $100.00 per panel. Just move on if you hear $100.00 per panel, they gotta eat but that's still a reaming.Trigger wrote:I still need to finish the faceplate, but I'm looking into how I am going to do the lettering.

Thanks for the compliments guys. This project had far less cussing then any of my previous projects. I must be growing up, or learning to relax some.
