Hmmm...I suppose that means I'll have to goop my SSS when I'm done with it.
hey, it's your SSS when you build it.... The permatex RTV is easy to remove. If you really want to protect your ckt then use epoxy. Please post pics when you are done with it, it sounds like a cool project!:D
For those interested: my ODS is a 100K plate load non-HRM with skyline EQ.

Hey...not even sure what an SSS is exactly, so I'm going by what I do know and making up the rest. Sort of "SSS-inspired". I'm quite certain some of the circuit will be unique...but thanks to input from folks on this board, I've got the power amp down to a T, more or less. The filter section will roll off 1/2 dB per step at 82 and 5K. Though I won't build it into this unit, there is provision (circuit-wise) for reverb or an effects loop, or both, without boogering up the filter section. Using a Bassman 100 head-cab and chassis that was completely destroyed (picked up up for a song). Using 5 12AX7s in the pre-amp, with some being cathode-followers (in addition to those post-PI). It'll be 75 watts, though (2 X GE 6550A)...I'm not into tinitus.
Now...back to your regularly scheduled programming...
