I just finished assembling the filter board on my Funk build. I made a little mistake that doesn't change the circuit. I soldered the 47uf caps in the place most of you guys solder where I soldered the 470k resistors.
But my question is. Do you see any disadvantage using this layout?
I personally think it looks good but just seems a little weird because I have only seen pictures of it the other way around.

I can't see any problem with that arrangement...
Of course you have altered the direction of flow of electrons and this will influence those 'fragile harmonics' that only live in a vacuum....

I wire them like that sometimes, If you glue it all together like I do it's actually more stable that way.

I did put a little silicone under each cap otherwise it wouldn't be that big a problem swapping the caps and resistors.
Today I did desolder the caps and removed the silicone using a Boxy eraser which did remove all the silicone. Now I have finished the board the right way. I like it better that way.

Brandon, I have seen many schematics floating around here. Is this dropping string I am using OK? 3K-10K-15K and 220K over each 220uf cap.Funkalicousgroove wrote:I wire them like that sometimes, If you glue it all together like I do it's actually more stable that way.
