Actually, I'll be firing her up after dinner. I just put her in there for safe keeping until I clean off this damn desk and the 4 inches of cut wire and solder on my floor! I feel like I walked into a crack heads living room!!!!

Lori-anne is named after my wife. My next TW will be named Tracy-Marie after my daughter.

UPDATE

I fired her up. After finding a loose (cutting) wire laid across my screens, and forgeting my PI Cathode ground to Presence pot..............
IT'S ALIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D  8)

I will be honest.........It's the best damn amp I have!!!! WooHoo!!!!

It's like having a Marshall Lead amp and a Fender Rythym amp plugged in with you volume pot as the A/B switch. I'm using Mullard Re-issues but, will be installing my NOS Siemans tomorrow. I need to dig through the boxes of pres to find the best sound. Right now it's th best amp I own, I can't wait to tube up!!!

I can't believe Greg and I started this project a full year ago. Getting Francesca really broke it open. I am extremely happy with this build and all th activity on the board. Thanks Omar for the sight!!!

I guess now that thats over, I guess I should build a liverpool!!!!

ohhhhhh Dana.....................

Beautiful amp. You brought a tear to my eyes, Loraine was my mothers name & I've never known another one. I hope to build an Express soon but would certainly consider buying yours if it doesn't work out for you. I would keep the same name of course!
Congratulations!

You guys definitely have me regretting selling off my TW chassis'. I'm thinking that i'm going to have to break down and drill out the hammond 17x10x2 chassis i have laying around and start working on one of these. You guys have done absolutely beautiful work. If one didn't know better you would think you were staring at the guts of a real TW!!! Now for the sound-clips... =)

Thanks,

Andy

Yep looks great.. i agree with Nitroliq, the main reason these amps are now turning out like the real ones,is from the pics that Allyn and HeeBGB posted.
No guess work or maybe..its all there. All those fine details is what makes this amp work like it should. So now we have chassis, boards ,transformers and the all the parts.

I also think once more people now hear some of the amps that have been built, you'll see more people wanting to build one.. So a big THANKS to all that helped get this going.

I also wanted to mention Jon Taylor, who is a member here, was the one who talked his guitar teacher Nat Janoff into bringing and subsequently letting us dissect Francesca at an amp fest last November. Jon seems to be overlooked in all this back patting. :D
