what would this (dumble) mod do in my pro reverb?

Im sure this has been discussed a lot. Im thinking about trying this on the normal channel of my pro reverb.

I assume this just revoices the clean sound of the channel. If anyone has done this or can describe what this does to the sound please let me know.

Specifically I'd like to know what to expect from the treble, mid and bass frequency's.

thanks

On first impression it would appear this mod has an error that would make it really not work well (they wire the mid pot as a backwards VR by grounding the wrong pin of the mid pot). The LFB on V1 is not needed and really the only benefit to tone is upping the treble cap to 330pf (poorman's mid boost). Why not just replace the bass and middle pots to Dumble Skyliner stack values/wiring and use a .002 treble cap with a 390pf that redoes the bright switch as a MidBoost switch. Stick a 500pf in parallel with the 220k resistor feeding pin 7 and you would have a 100k plate Dumble clean channel.

I'm not going to need that so much when you are done with my Carr huh?

I'm just looking for something fun to do to the normal channel of my pro reverb thats not too involved.

What do you like to do Henry (that I could actually do myself)?

Heck, maybe I should just send this Pro to you when you are done with the Carr?

IMHO.. Fenders are Fenders they do what they do.. and do it very well..I have tried all sorts of mods including this one on Twins and Blackface Bassman's Pro's Supers... etc... and they all just kinda sucked.. Old Fenders have an appealing feel to them for me.. start changing tone stacks and gain structures and there goes the feel.. Best mod you can do to that amp is replace the wimpy 35 watt OPT and put in a Bassman.. You want overdrive TS808 or a 9 and let her eat.... Just my opinion!!!

If you send it to me I'll turn it into this:
