Anyone heard this?

Its an ANALOG delay you can buy at toys are us for $39.95!

I saw it there a few weekends ago and almost bought it. I did some research and found that there are mods for it and it really is analog with5 or 600 ms of delay! Its metal too!

Yeah I bought one of those First Act delays and did the mods that were detailed at the Gear Page.

It's worth the dough but mine seems to have some bleed through when switched out of the loop.

I just bought a new pedal the other day.
It's a relatively new brand called Artec, made in Korea.
It's not a booteek pedal but I have a hard time parting with $200-300 for a handful of components.

This pedal is true bypass, max delay is 440 ms.

I bought it new on ebay for $77 incuding shipping.

Most of Artec pedals are around $45 and all seem to be true bypass.

They also have some active tone circuits that install where a tone pot would go on your guitar.

I'll let you know when I get how it performs.

I got the pedal the other day and it works nicely.
Very quiet and indeed sounds very analog.

Metal box with metallic silver paint. Sparkly in the sunlight. :D

If I had to complain about one thing I would say that the repeat volume doesn't go loud enough.

But the controls seem to be a little interactive so with some careful tweaking of the knobs I am able to get it to do what I want.

It has a battery compartment with a door on the bottom of the box so you donn't have to take the bottom off for battery replacemtent.
Also has a 9vdc input for pedal power.

PCB with surface mount components.
It is of course a pcb pedal and the switch, jacks, and pots seem to be soldered directly to the pcb but, they are also mechanically fastened to the metal box securely so there shouldn't be any problem with flexing the solder joints on the boards.

Max delay time is 440 ms so for those that want super long delays this won't work for you but, for good sounding slap backs and repetitive type delay this pedal is a very good value.

GO ANALOG!!!

ROLAND RE-201 SPACE ECHO
Tel Ray oil can
or an Echoplex

it's worth the coin! and can be found cheap if you can do minor repair work on your own.

I've had good luck with the little purple ibanez pedal from the 80's but it's solidstate and you can hear it.

Y'all should try one of the Keeley modded ad9's with the foot pedals. My only complaint with this pedal is that it comes with 2 expression pedals to control delay time and delay level, but it doesn't have one for the number of times the signal is fedback and you have to control that by the knob. Any person here could probably mod it to do that(my upcoming project list is growing). It doesn' suck tone and has a really cool feature with the old on/off switch- think space ship.

I got the big loyde dee layer last week and its the best delay I've heard.

It sounds like an echoplex. Its hard to believe but it does. The effects loop idea is so simple I cant believe they dont all have them.

Check out this clip from indy guitarist:
