trimmers

Post by JimiB »

I would like to use the laydown 15mm phier carbon trimmers in an amp I'm building but mouser only has them in the stand up variety. I seems that the 10mm rated at .15w might not handle the 10K PI trimmer job. Any ideas?

Even if you were drawing 100ma and dropping 10 volts you would still only need .1 watt. I've never had one fail. Just don't leave your meter on OHMS when probing

I've done that plenty of times. Hopefully your meter was fused?

Yeah the meter survived but the trim pot didn't.
