Amber Pilot Light

Post by strato17 »

Does anyone know where I can get an amber pilot light for an express that is aesthetically the same as the ones KF used?

Have you compared the multitude of lamps and LED holders in the
Digitek, Mouser & Allied catalogs? There's easily a hundred various
lamps and housings a guy could make do with.
If there's nothing you'll use there, go to Dialite's site for more exquisite MIL spec and bullet-proof panel mounted illumination. Dialite's are relampable!!
For pure crap, try those Hong Kong Electrical suppliers on Ebay. IMO that lamp that Ken chose was the equivalent to the currently made
Christmas tree lights. Maybe crummier.

I think you will find that in the BOM.
The more I look at it and the build guide, the more fortunate I think we are to have someone like Ron on the forum who took the time to put these documents together.

Well... the BOM sends you to the manufacturer. An individual cannot place an order with them(as far as I can tell.)

Yes, but the manufacturer has a listing of their distributers. Sometimes that's -extremely- useful, which I found with Keystone. Mode's seems to be just ok. They distribute to lots of places, but you need to go to each of the retail websites to search.

If that's dodgy, a) do a google search on the part number or b) try to find one with the same specs at one of those places Noel mentioned.

I got one from Allyn. He either stocks them, or has some idea where to buy. Dunno which.
