I like the stranded teflon as well.
For the reasons listed above and the fact that stranded wire will not fatigue as easily as solid core.
I had used solid core in a build and one of the plate wires had broke due to bending it too much.
But the break was hidden in the insulation and caused me a lot of grief because it was not obvious when I started having problems and could not see it.
It made intermittent contact and caused symptoms that were not consistent.

I use the Solid teflon, I used to use stranded. the key is to use forethought, and not bend the wires too much, but also use a wire spudger to move it around to where you want it.
