Fun with a D'lite chassis

Post by heisthl »

Ingredients:
1 D'lite chassis
1 ODS 101 non-HRM schematic
1 Reverb Circuit
Directions: shake well and eliminate everything you don't need for just the Overdrive tones with Reverb. Fold it all into a cabinet with 3 - 10 inch speakers and a Reverb Tank.
Cook for a full 4 hours or until done.

Same as https://tubeamparchive.com/viewtopic.php?t=5541 , only the amp is different, and this time he has a Boss Tremolo between the guitar and the amp, he didn't touch the amp all night and did everything from the guitar.

Very good tones. Not your common Dumble application,
which is refreshing. Very good.

No preamp volume either (Its an internal trimmer), just drive and level.

How does the combo balance? I would have offset the chassis the other direction for weight distribution.

It had to be oriented this way for speaker to transformer clearance. The goal was to be super reverb size (24" x24") which is hard to do with the taller chassis and seperater bar. It's made out of pine so it's fairly light in weight. It could have be centered but I liked the idea of a "pidgeon hole" for cord storage away from the speakers. Believe it or not it carries well in your hand and is light enough that wheels aren't necessary.

If anybody wants this cabinet the guy who made it will do one (your choice of colors) for $350. PM me for his email.
