Footswitch Idea for Dumble Clone(C-tone)...anybody?

Post by Mondoslug »

Probably covered at some point but I don't know where.

I think it would be real cool to be able to go from Clean/Boost to Overdrive/no Boost with one click of the switch. A pedal with 4 switches set up for: Clean, Clean Boost, Overdrive, Overdrive Boost would be nice...real nice. Can this be accomplished somehow using the 5 pin out?

I realize I could use a midi switcher ala GCX and put the switching in loops but would rather not.

TIA!

I don't know about having four switches operating 'radio button' style to exclusively select four modes like you are asking, but you might consider a compromise and use some diode-logic to get some options.

I recently added a 'link' switch to the PAB on my Bluesmaster footswitch... the PAB switch operates normally, but when you have the link switch on selecting overdrive automatically forces PAB on regardless of the PAB footswitch setting. With this simple mod (diode and SPST switch) you can go from clean to overdrive with boost in one click and you can separately engage PAB when you want to in clean for a clean boost.

Attached a little schematic of the modified marshall three-button footswitch I use in the BM...

The short answer is no can do, I'm afraid.

Put your switches close enough together that you can hit them both with 1 foot-

Why is everyone always trying to make everything so darned difficult! :D

Just a thought:

Why couldn't one rig up an addl dpdt foot switch that switches the "Switches"? of course this may make it difficult to get clean and boosted OD
