my latest build up and running

Post by phsyconoodler »

He's a shot of my latest Overdrive Rocket,as I call it.This one has reverb too.Sounds pretty decent.I'm using the TAD tall bottle 6L6's and they sound pretty different.Good different to be sure.I was going to go cathode biased but didn't have the right resistors on hand.
I'm using custom made Hammond transformers in this one.

More pics please :D - what chassis are you using? built or bought?

Like the one big perf board idea  - how are you mounting your relays?

I liked the idea of one big board so I did it that way.I built everything you see.The chassis was made for me at a local sheet metal shop.
My relays are on a separate board in the traditional location on standoffs. The power supply is on the main board.I do a number of different amps with this size chassis.

I see you chose not to use Orange Drops in your layout. How does it compare to the Dumble baseline tone?

Post a few clips, I'd like to hear for myself.

Nice work, Keith. Man, there's a lot of room in that chassis! What size is it? This one has reverb, right?

I like the tone with mallory's vs orange drops. Not as brittle sounding IMHO.
It's got the one tube reverb.Chassis is 23-1/2" x 2.5" x 7"
Clips are on my website.
