Heatsink for NTE2973 ?

Post by jzucker »

I'm installing a PS kit into a marshall jtm45 clone and need a heatsink for this part. Can anyone recommend something? Looking through the mouser catalog I'm not sure which part I need.

The mosfet is at: http://www.nteinc.com/specs/2900to2999/pdf/nte2973.pdf

I'm thinking N, O or P from:

http://www.mouser.com/catalog/633/1858.pdf

Thanks in advance.

I don't know if it'd be convenient based on how you're installing it but you could probably use the chassis as a heat sink, get some thermal paste for in between if you want.

According to the installation instructions, the chassis mount alone will not be sufficient on a 50 watt amp so I was planning on bolting/glueing the heatsink and the device to the chassis.
