Re: kt66 question
from the RCA technical series RC-28 (pg.28 )
"The parallel connection provides twice the output of a single tube with the same value of grid signal voltage. with this connection, the effective transconductance of the stage is doubled, and the effective plate resistance and the load resistance required are halved as compared with single-tube values."
in other words if you have a opt that matches for your tube type at 8 ohms with a single tube, use a 4 ohm load for two tubes....

thanks fot the tip
Re: kt66 question
What's your B+? I'm looking at running a pair of KT66 between 250v and 300v (more like 250), in class A push-pull.

Re: kt66 question
triode or pentode?
Re: kt66 question
In my case, pentode. Running at 250v to 300v on the plates, a little less on the screens. I'm basically looking for the same info as you (class A on a pr of 6L6/KT66) except applied to a push-pull configuration.
If anyone can point the two of us to 'load lines for Dummies', that would be much appreciated!

Re: kt66 question
theres a useable data sheet on the kt66 at the TUBEZONE.net
thru the TDSL at the duncan site
with curves etc.....

Re: kt66 question
Thank you, Andy. I have my answer, and didn't have to sweat the math this time. Rather would be looking at the curves in Hooters anyhow
