What did you do with your mid switch please? I’ve tried various things people have suggested but never been satisfied.

I found that putting a 1uF cap over the 270 ohm resistor in the phase inverter works great and is like other mid/accent switches seen in early ampstimrobertson100 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 17, 2024 7:05 pm What did you do with your mid switch please? checked it just now after your question, and i don´t have there any Problems, yeah,it gives a bit of Boost,,but depending on other Filter and Tonestack Settings, you could easily dial in,so where is your Problem with the Mid Switch?
O.k,now i know, what you mean,i tested it before, with Attenuator and Level quiet down, but without Attenuator and Level up it is very Harsch,so i have to work on it,so my first Impression was right on it

Martin's way of doing it gives you about 170v potential... So not "nobody".Hendrixianer wrote: ↑Sun Dec 15, 2024 1:50 pm It seems,Nobody take care of it,in all the Steel String Singer clones![]()
Nice build. It should bring joy.

But Martin didn´t give me a Potential of 170V,I don´t mean the Cathode Follower after the Pi,I mean the CF after the Filter Switches, there i have cathode Voltages over 220V !
played just 2 hours, checked all Switch Positions, yeah,Mega Fun to play this Amp

The mixer stage CF's run at 206V Vh-k per my simulation (440V B+1). Data sheets show a maximum of either 180 or 200V depending upon the brand. It's a good idea to elevate the heater string to be safe.

Nice, thanks for posting that. I suggest that your modified drawing should be clearly identified as such, and it should list the differences from Ryan's layout.

Perhaps a daft question… you don’t use 100R balancing resistors when elevating the heaters?
